When lockdown started back in March 2020 the UK and many other countries found themselves in a state of shock and loss of normal way of life and liberties. Unsurprisingly, many people did not know which way to turn or how to cope with enforced self-isolation or suddenly spending 24/7 with family or housemates.
Community Base is a charity providing a home for community and voluntary groups in Brighton & Hove and services to the local community. We have previously run the Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) for Community Base members at their premises in the city centre. With the city centre desolate and empty, we offered the course online.
The course provided the support and tools needed for working from home. It was so popular, a follow up course Compassionate Based Living Course (CBLC) was been scheduled.
“One of the best courses I have ever experienced, it has improved my mental health and taught me how to meditate, finally it all makes sense! Inspirational and life changing!”
“Anna is a skilled facilitator, ensuring everyone felt included and safe. Despite it being an on-line Zoom course, she was able to create a friendly and warm atmosphere. She communicates really clearly and I found the course content very accessible.”
